Letters to the editor: Save Castner Range
I am writing to you about why Castner Range should be made a national monument. Castner Range is a good place for people to go out and hike whenever they want to and they can learn about nature and their surroundings. I like that when you go to Castner Range, you can see the poppies and parts of nature, like animals and bugs. When you go to Castner Range you can see animals you cannot see anywhere else since the animals cannot live in cities.
I think that if Castner Range gets built on and destroyed, then all the knowledge that would be learned is flushed down the drain and all the animals that have lived in Castner Range will have nowhere to go since their habitat will be destroyed. We would be destroying a part of nature that kids all around the world need to learn about. Many kids haven’t been out in nature a lot and if Castner Range is destroyed then many kids around the country will never know what these mountains were like.
